This week we welcome an exciting addition to The Shelter, different to anything else we've done before. The Shelter further defines itself as a forward-thinking luxury concept store with the introduction of our latest project –The Shelter Gallery.
Designed to bring together both emerging and established artists, designers and multidisciplinary makers, The Shelter Gallery proposes a new avenue for art and object connoisseurs to view and acquire, with a primary focus on enriching and inspiring our community.
Compiled by a ghost New Zealand curator, the space will support both collective topics and individual focuses, each running for a duration of three month periods. The inaugural exhibit ‘11 Stools, 5 Photos and One Man’s Books’ launches today, featuring one-of-a-kind and limited edition works by Syo, Walk In The Park, Rupert Enberg, Stephen Junil Park, Junguen Lee, ABnumeral AB, Lela Jacobs, Greer Twiss, Nathan Goldsworthy and Jamie Mcnab. Most works are available for purchase alongside Johnny McCormack framed photographs and Bruce Connew books.
‘11 Stools, 5 Photos and One Man’s Books’ runs until the 22nd of October, all pieces are available for purchase in store only at The Shelter.
