Support Local // Window Display

Since Auckland stepped down into Level 3, The Shelter window has housed a series of striking looks from your favourite New Zealand Designers swapped out each week and refreshed with a new colour theme. The message surrounding the SUPPORT LOCAL window was exactly that, to shop and support our fellow local designers, businesses, and creatives who've been doing it tough through the lockdown.
As we knew not everyone who usually enjoys and shops our window displays would be able to check them out in person we showcased the SUPPORT LOCAL series over on Instagram, creating a new reel weekly to flaunt the incredible New Zealand brands we stock; Jimmy D, Lela Jacobs, Company of Strangers, Samuel Mark Clyma, Thyen, taylor, Claudia Li and Bokeo.
Check out each of our installments below.
Week 2 saw the addition of some blue hues into the mix. The looks displayed were a little more moody, boasting metallic colours, interesting silhouettes and lines that were a real treat for the eye. An honourary mention goes to the Claudia Li Paracord bag styled by our manager, Noah, as a top rather than for its regular use. The designers featured this week included Samuel Mark Clyma, taylor, Claudia Li, Jimmy D, Bokeo, Thyen, and Company of Strangers.
The third and final instalment of our SUPPORT LOCAL series hosted a set of looks all in a vanilla and buttery yellow colour palette. After all the sunshine last week, it felt fitting to inject warmth into our window too. The Jimmy D Bubble Bobble styles were a real eye-catcher, especially when teamed with soft, dreamy creams from Lela Jacobs, taylor and Claudia Li.
